The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Tencent Americas, located in Palo Alto, CA. Tencent Overseas Finance Center builds a global financial infrastructure to support businesses in their international expansion and ensure compliant operations. This role is crucial as it acts as a key financial manager, focusing on the compliance, strategic financial health, and overall business efficiency of Tencent’s global operations. You will be instrumental in driving operational excellence within the North America Finance Center.

• Mission: Ensure the compliance, strategic financial health, and business efficiency of global operations for Tencent’s globalization strategy.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Compliance and Risk Management: Liaise with auditors, external regulatory bodies, and internal teams to assess financial risks and develop action plans for daily management improvements.
• Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flow, working capital, and liquidity for North American entities, strategically optimizing the company’s cash flow planning.
• Finance Support and Efficiency Improvements: Coordinate budget preparation and quarterly rolling forecasts with local business teams, analyze financial performance to assist with resource allocation, and enhance reporting quality.
• Policy and Process Improvements: Identify opportunities for process optimization and collect suggestions from local offices to implement necessary process and policy localizations.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Degree in Accountancy / Finance.
• Experience: Foundational knowledge of local compliance and industry practices.
• Skills: Excellent communication, strong stakeholder management abilities, and a proactive, hands-on mindset.
• Bonus: Experience in the Technology/Internet industry, experience collaborating with cross-functional or global teams, and professional proficiency in Mandarin.
