The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Venteon, located in the Detroit Metropolitan Area. Venteon’s client is a large distribution company. This role is crucial for supporting the financial health and operational efficiency of multiple business units through detailed analysis, reporting, and planning. The Financial Analyst will be a key contributor to the finance team, ensuring accurate and timely financial insights.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Month-End Support: Support the month-end close process, including monthly financial statement analysis and preparation.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Prepare the annual budget and update financial forecasts on a monthly basis or as needed.
• Risk & Opportunity Identification: Work closely with Business Unit teams to identify and address financial risks and opportunities.
• Production Spending Analysis: Maintain analysis on production spending and efficiency compared to established plans.
• Operations Reporting: Support operations reporting for multiple business units.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; a strong background in financial analysis and planning, specifically within a mid-sized or large company.
• Experience: 2-5 years of finance experience, including working with Operations business partners and supporting core financial processes.
• Skills: Expert proficiency in Excel, including Pivot Tables, Vlookup, and SUMIF formulas, along with working knowledge of a large ERP system.
