Planner Scheduler | Flex

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Flex, located on Flex North. Flex is the diversified manufacturing partner that helps market-leading brands design, build, and deliver innovative products that improve the world. This Planner Scheduler role will support SpinCo, a new independent publicly traded company focused on critical digital infrastructure, delivering end-to-end power and thermal management solutions for AI data centers and other mission-critical applications. This position is crucial for effectively managing materials and production functions, ensuring efficient product release and contributing to the company’s growth.

The TL;DR

• Mission: To plan, schedule, coordinate, and approve product release into production planning systems based on material and capacity availability, effectively supporting material and production functions.
• Tech Stack: ERP/MRP systems, Microsoft Excel

What You’ll Actually Do
• Order Management & Fulfillment: Check the feasibility of order fulfillment based on the availability of resources such as materials, employees, and equipment, then confirm customer orders and proactively address issues impacting committed ship dates (CSD) and inventory goals.
• Production Planning & Execution: Prepare detailed production plans, input planning data into the company’s integrated computer system, notify the purchasing group about planning requirements, and monitor the control and implementation of plans, initiating necessary actions for deviations.
• Strategic Forecasting & Reporting: Develop long-term plans and forecasts, including Master Production Schedules (MPS), monitor system accuracy for master data (general item data, routing, BOM), and generate various management and Customer Focus Team (CFT) specific reports, tracking Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Material & Inventory Coordination: Prepare Clean to Build reports by checking material availability, replan if necessary, inform the order desk, trace Engineering Change Order (ECO) implementations, and monitor stock levels while handling stock differences.
• Customer & Cross-functional Liaison: Coordinate and manage high-visibility customer programs, including initial customer or product startup initiatives, provide input to management for rescheduling due to various interruptions, and represent Order Management on various Customer Focus Teams.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
• Experience: Experience in Production Planning, Master Scheduling, Order Management, Supply Chain, or Materials Planning within a manufacturing environment. Experience working with ERP/MRP systems for production planning, inventory management, Bills of Material (BOMs), routings, and work orders.
• Skills: Strong knowledge of Master Production Schedule (MPS), demand forecasting, capacity planning, and production control processes. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.
