Operations Specialist Sr | PNC Bank

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at PNC Bank, with hub locations in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; Cleveland, Ohio; Birmingham, Alabama; and Baltimore, Maryland, and may be eligible for remote work in select areas. • Mission: Provide exceptional support and execute complex operations for external customers’ pension plans.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Customer Support: Answer calls from external customers to address questions and provide information related to their pension plans, including payments, withholdings, and benefits.
• Transaction Processing: Execute complex transactions and back-office operations of moderate to high risk and financial value, ensuring adherence to standard policies and procedures.
• Issue Resolution: Identify and address exceptions, serving as a point of escalation for complex transactions and partnering with internal service teams to complete actions.
• Process Improvement: Review existing processes, recommend improvements, and drive their implementation, while serving as a subject matter resource for related projects.
• Training & Compliance: Train and onboard new hires, and review transactions and documents for completeness, accuracy, established service levels, and compliance with applicable policies.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, preparing for a senior-level role focused on specialized operations within financial services.
• Experience: Proven ability to execute complex transactions, manage customer interactions in a financial context, and handle sensitive information related to pension plans.
• Skills: Accuracy and Attention to Detail, Effective Communications, Managing Multiple Priorities, Operational Functions, Problem Solving, Process Management, Standard Operating Procedures.
