The Tone:
This is a full-time, developmental leadership role at Tyson Foods, located in Clarksville, AR. Tyson Foods is a major food production company, and this role directly supports its day-to-day production and operational performance. The Operations Management Trainee is vital for identifying improvement opportunities through data analysis and cross-functional teamwork, ultimately building foundational leadership capabilities for future supervisory positions.

• Team: Leads teams and coordinates work without direct reports, supporting supervisors and managers.
• Mission: To support day-to-day production and operational performance by identifying opportunities and driving improvement through data analysis and cross-functional teamwork.
• Tech Stack: Excel; SAP preferred

What You’ll Actually Do
• Analyze performance results to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Recommend and support improvements in safety, quality, yield, and efficiency across operations.
• Troubleshoot operational issues and propose effective solutions to challenges.
• Partner with cross-functional teams such as HR, Maintenance, FSQA, and Accounting.
• Lead teams or processes as needed, including line coverage and special projects.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Associate’s degree, technical degree, or higher in a related field or equivalent practical experience (1 year). Relevant fields include Operations, Agriculture, Animal Science, Poultry Science, or Food Science.
• Experience: Exposure to production, agriculture, or manufacturing environments through work, internships, or school projects. Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical thinking is required.
• Skills: Basic computer proficiency with Excel, strong communication and teamwork abilities, problem-solving and critical thinking, leadership potential, adaptability, and willingness to learn.
• Bonus: A Bachelor’s degree, SAP experience, and an understanding of safety and quality standards are preferred.
