• Team: The Specialized Trading Operations Team supports Charles Schwab Trust Bank’s (CSTB) institutional retirement clients.
• Mission: Monitor and assist in the successful execution of various trades for retirement clients, engage in process improvements, and support critical operational functions for the team.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Trading Execution & Monitoring: Monitor and assist in the successful execution of various trades for retirement clients, including mutual funds, equities, ETFs (initial focus), alternative investments, and non-registered securities.
• Process Review & Enhancement: Actively review and enhance daily operational processes to identify and implement improvements that benefit the team and department.
• Client & Partner Communication: Engage in communication with external clients, internal management, and business partners to facilitate trading operations and resolve issues.
• Contract & Event Management Support: Support the team in engaging with fund companies for new trading agreements, amending existing contracts, maintaining the division’s security master, and coordinating special handling events.
• Industry Knowledge & Growth: Develop a comprehensive understanding of the retirement industry and equity markets, learning various functions across the Specialized Trading Operations team to foster personal and departmental growth.

• Background: Entry-Level professional with an interest in financial services, markets, and how the markets function.
• Experience: No specific years required, but demonstrated ability to communicate with external clients, management, and business partners, alongside analytical skills for researching and resolving issues.
• Skills: Communication skills, analytical skills.
• Bonus: Bachelor’s Degree, Intermediate Excel skills.
