The Tone:
This is a full-time, hybrid role at Peak Health, located in Morgantown, WV. Peak Health is part of the WVU Medicine Health System, and this position supports its financial and budget processes. This role is critical for ensuring accurate financial analysis, efficient processes, and robust support for departmental leaders across WVU Medicine. The individual in this position will be fundamental in evaluating financial operations and contributing to strategic financial insights.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Budget Management: Actively participate in the WVU Medicine budget process, including data entry, analysis, and compiling necessary financial support documentation.
• Process Improvement: Evaluate financial processes and reports to identify opportunities for efficiency maximization and implement the results of those evaluations.
• Financial Analysis: Develop and submit analytical financial data and information to department leaders as needed, including various productivity analyses and reporting.
• Accounting Operations: Perform departmental reconciliations, manage billing for various departments, and conduct accounts receivable analysis.
• Month-End Close: Execute accounting-related functions and submit accurate financial data during the month-end process.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience: Entry-level career experience required, focusing on core financial and accounting principles.
• Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to work with computer databases, and a strong understanding of Excel.
• Bonus: One (1) year of accounting or finance experience.
