What You’ll Actually Do
• Coordinate Services: Serve as the primary point of contact in a call center environment, coordinating all vehicle maintenance and repair needs directly with site managers and external vendors.
• System Management: Efficiently enter and maintain accurate service requests, updates, and completed work records within the Fleet Management System (FMS) for comprehensive tracking and reporting.
• Vendor Optimization: Evaluate and compare repair times from different vendors, verify warranties for parts and services, and strategically assign repairs to preferred vendors based on contractual agreements.
• Issue Resolution: Proactively identify and resolve complex issues related to repair timelines, service costs, and vendor performance to ensure timely and effective service delivery, maintaining fleet availability.
• Performance & Relationships: Generate detailed performance reports for continuous operational improvement, while actively fostering strong, collaborative relationships with both site managers and external vendors.
The Must-Haves
• Background: This is an Entry-Level role requiring a high school diploma or equivalent. Candidates should possess a basic understanding of vehicle maintenance and common repair processes to effectively communicate with vendors and site managers.
• Experience: Demonstrated Service Writing Experience is essential for documenting and processing repair requests. Proficiency in data entry and using fleet management systems (FMS) is also required for accurate record-keeping and tracking.
• Skills: Strong negotiation skills are crucial for managing vendor costs and timelines. Excellent vendor relations and customer service skills are necessary for fostering productive partnerships. Additionally, critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and clear communication are key for resolving issues and ensuring smooth operations.
• Bonus: Further education, such as an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business administration or other related fields, is considered a valuable plus.
