• Mission: Own a comprehensive view of the firm’s financial operations, from close through billing to cash, to develop into a broader finance role.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Reporting: Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations to support the monthly close cycle and internal financial statements.
• General Ledger Management: Maintain the general ledger, ensuring transactions are properly coded, supported, and reconciled to resolve discrepancies.
• Accounts Management: Process accounts payable, expense reimbursements, vendor payments, and apply daily cash receipts against outstanding invoices.
• Legal Billing Support: Manage the legal billing cycle, including pre-bill generation, edits, client formatting, and coordination with attorneys.
• Compliance & Analysis: Support trust accounting compliance, assist with audits, and contribute to process improvement initiatives across the accounting function.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; core knowledge of GAAP and general ledger accounting.
• Experience: 2–4 years of accounting experience; comfort working across accounting, billing, and banking platforms.
• Skills: Strong Excel skills; high level of accuracy, discipline with deadlines, sound judgment with confidential financial data; a collaborative style.
• Bonus: Law firm or professional services experience strongly preferred; an appetite to grow and take on more responsibility over time.
