The TL;DR

• Mission: This role owns the accurate processing of financial transactions, managing vendor inquiries, and performing general ledger entries to support monthly closing procedures.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Processing: Process check requests, expense reports, and online pickleball refunds on a regular basis.
• Account Management: Perform monthly reconciliations and daily journal entries across multiple general ledger accounts.
• Accounts Payable Support: Assist the AP Specialist with data entry associated with accounts payable and audit/process credit card bills.
• Vendor Communication: Address and respond to inquiries from vendors in a timely and effective manner.
• Month-End Assistance: Support the Unit Accountant II with monthly closing procedures, including tasks like prepaid journal entries and expense write-ups.

The Must-Haves
• Background: High school diploma; Entry-Level
• Experience: 1-2 years of experience with accounts payable or general accounting functions.
• Skills: Knowledge of basic accounting principles, proficient Microsoft Office skills, strong analytic abilities, and a high degree of attention to detail.
• Bonus: Associate degree in Accounting preferred; ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and adapt to a start-up mentality.
