Accounting Administrator | KMAC of the Carolinas, Inc.

The Tone:
This is a full-time, hybrid role at KMAC of the Carolinas, Inc., located in Charlotte, NC, with some flexibility for work from home. KMAC has a long-standing reputation for trust and reliability, specializing in gypsum underlayments, sound control systems, self-leveling cements, elevated concrete and waterproofing, and below-grade waterproofing. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate financial records, processing essential transactions, and supporting the financial health that allows the company to deliver high-quality projects to its partners. You will contribute directly to the dependable service and proven results KMAC provides across the Southeast.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Administer: Administer day-to-day payroll activities accurately and on schedule.
• Process: Process incoming accounts payable transactions and vendor invoices efficiently.
• Prepare: Prepare and accurately post journal entries to maintain precise financial records.
• Support: Support month-end closing tasks and assist with financial statement preparation and reconciliation.
• Maintain: Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Core domain knowledge in Accounting and Finance.
• Experience: Proficiency in accounting software e.g. QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel, including basic formulas and reconciliations.
• Skills: Strong analytical skills to review financial data and identify discrepancies; effective communication skills for internal and external collaboration; strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple deadlines.
• Bonus: Experience in construction, contracting, or a similar project-based industry environment is beneficial.
