Senior Manager, Program Management | L3Harris Technologies

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at L3Harris Technologies, located in Huntsville, AL (preferred) or Camden, AR. L3Harris is a trusted disruptor in defense technology, delivering end-to-end solutions that connect space, air, land, sea, and cyber domains to support national security. This role is crucial for leading the execution of multiple solid rocket motor production programs, ensuring successful cost, schedule, technical performance, and customer satisfaction across all operational sites.

• Team: Oversees a team of Program Managers
• Mission: Leads the execution of multiple continuous production and entering production solid rocket motors, taking responsibility for cost, schedule, technical performance, and customer satisfaction.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Program Leadership: Own cost, schedule, resourcing, contractual compliance, and technical performance for multiple production programs, including Firm Fixed Price, Fixed Price Incentive, and Cost-Plus contracts.
• Team Management: Manage and mentor a team of Program Managers who support Production programs across various sites.
• Performance Oversight: Conduct regular program reviews, which include cost, schedule, earned value, technical performance, and risk management assessments, and present progress internally and externally.
• Financial Management: Direct financial planning and execution for the assigned portfolio, encompassing baseline development, EAC maintenance, cash management, and financial forecasting.
• Customer Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with Prime and Government mission partners, while also developing competitive proposals for follow-on production opportunities.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 12 years of related experience, or a Graduate Degree with a minimum of 10 years of related experience. In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 16 years of prior related experience is required.
• Experience: Minimum of 10-12 years of experience leading the execution of continuous production and entering production solid rocket motors; must be able to obtain a US Secret clearance; ability to travel up to 50% is required.
• Skills: Proficiency in Earned Value Management System (EVMS) principles; strong communication, negotiation, customer facing, and executive level presentation abilities.
• Bonus: Working knowledge of general production systems/methods and lean manufacturing principles; experience with hardware production; experience with solid rocket motor component development and production.
