What You’ll Actually Do
• Problem Design & Resolution: Work closely with leaders to design solutions for and solve critical industry problems.
• End-to-End System Ownership: Design, build, and meticulously drive new systems from initial concept through to successful completion.
• Cultural Contribution: Actively participate in developing and improving Candor’s innovation culture within the team and wider organization.
• Technical Documentation: Create clear and comprehensive technical documentation to serve as valuable reference material and for reporting purposes.
• Collaborative Problem-Solving: Work effectively within diverse teams, collaborating with others to address concerns and provide constructive solutions proactively.

The Must-Haves
• Background: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field is required. This foundational knowledge is essential for tackling the complex challenges of the role.
• Experience: Demonstrated experience with at least one programming language among Python, Golang, or Java is necessary. A strong understanding and practical application of object-oriented programming principles and data structure concepts are also key.
• Skills: Excellent analytical skills are crucial for effective problem-solving and robust system design. Strong communication skills are vital for effective team collaboration and conveying technical information clearly. Proficiency in object-oriented programming paradigms and core data structures underpins technical execution.
• Bonus: Desirable qualifications include practical exposure to Python and Pandas for data extraction, performing exploratory data analysis, and data cleaning processes. Additionally, an interest or prior exposure to Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning models, ML infrastructure, Natural Language Processing, or Deep Learning would be beneficial.
