Logistics Analyst | Traeger, Inc.
The Tone:
This is an entry-level, full-time role at Traeger, Inc., located in Salt Lake City, UT. Traeger invented the wood pellet grill and is dedicated to revolutionizing outdoor cooking, bringing people together through flavorful experiences. This Logistics Analyst position is critical for owning recurring reporting and ensuring day-to-day shipment visibility across all operations. The role directly impacts the company’s transportation performance, turning raw data into actionable metrics that drive decision-making and optimize the supply chain.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Visibility: Own daily shipment visibility and appointment compliance across vendor portals and the TMS, escalating exceptions within defined windows, including international shipments.
• Reporting: Develop and maintain accurate recurring KPI reporting for prepaid, collect, and parcel operations, serving as the team’s primary data source.
• Performance Tracking: Monitor and report carrier and vendor performance against scorecards, tracking OTIF, on-time trends, and accessorial activity to flag underperforming areas.
• Routing: Optimize inbound routing for timely and cost-effective freight decisions while providing cost oversight for the air-freight program.
• Claims Management: Manage the end-to-end carrier claims process, driving measurable recovery and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-level position requiring a Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Logistics, International Business, Business, Engineering, or a related field, or practical experience of 1–2 years within a supply chain environment.
• Experience: Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced use of formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis; comfort working with data in BI dashboards (such as Domo) and a willingness to learn SQL / data-warehouse querying; and familiarity with ERP systems, specifically Epicor Kinetic being a plus.
• Skills: Strong data literacy to confidently read and interpret operational data, clear communication of status and issues with timely escalation, high accuracy in data, reporting, and claims documentation, analytical thinking to turn data into actionable recommendations, and the ability to manage multiple recurring deliverables and competing priorities independently.
• Bonus: Hands-on SQL or querying experience with a data warehouse (e.g., Redshift), direct experience with Domo reporting or similar BI tools, familiarity with TMS platforms and international freight operations including customs documentation, forwarders, and brokers, or a demonstrated interest in process improvement and root-cause problem solving.
