This role is crucial for the Department of Environmental Protection’s HR office, as it trains an individual to support consistent and effective talent acquisition, helping to build the workforce that protects Pennsylvania’s environment.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Guidance: Provide direction to hiring managers on available posting options, requisition processes, and effective selection strategies.
• Analysis: Evaluate posting history and related data to inform and shape future recruitment strategies.
• Preparation: Complete required forms, attach necessary documentation, and route all materials efficiently through the NEOGOV system.
• Coordination: Review applicant materials, manage interview steps, and support legally sound hiring decisions.
• Tracking: Update internal systems and reports to ensure accurate vacancy and process information is maintained.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-level professional with a Bachelor’s degree, including 15 credits in public administration, business administration, or a closely related field.
• Experience: An equivalent combination of experience and training, including 15 credits in public administration, business administration, or a closely related field. Applicants within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree are considered.
• Skills: Excellent analytical and communication skills.
