Staff Accountant | Sizzling Platter, LLC
The Tone:
This is an accounting role at Sizzling Platter, LLC, a rapidly expanding franchise platform based in Murray, UT. The company supports over 800 restaurants and 14,000+ team members across the U.S. and Mexico. This position is vital for managing general accounting duties within a high-volume environment, directly contributing to financial accuracy and operational support across the organization. The Staff Accountant provides crucial accounting services to both Operations and Corporate Support teams.

• Tech Stack: NetSuite (a plus), Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, inventory and back office systems.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Operational Cost Management: Review weekly food cost and inventory for multiple restaurant concepts, including researching and resolving discrepancies.
• Financial Record Keeping: Prepare and record journal entries and vendor bills using NetSuite and other systems.
• Account Reconciliation & Analysis: Reconcile balance sheet accounts and perform review and analysis of store-level Profit & Loss statements.
• Asset Lifecycle Support: Assist in the management of construction and remodel project cost tracking, as well as asset setup, disposal, and transfers.
• Cross-Functional Assistance: Provide accounting assistance to the Support Center and Operations teams, backing up other team members in their areas of responsibility as needed.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field, with thorough knowledge of accounting principles, including chart of accounts, debits and credits, preparing journal entries, and account reconciliations.
• Experience: 1-2 years of accounting experience, preferably within a high transaction volume environment. Previous experience with inventory and general ledger systems is beneficial, with NetSuite experience considered a plus.
• Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. Demonstrated ability to follow through on details and complete tasks with minimal supervision, solve problems, multi-task, and meet deadlines, alongside strong organizational skills and excellent verbal and written communication.
• Bonus: Experience specifically within the restaurant, hospitality, or retail industries.
