Customer Operations Coordinator | Southwest Gases

The Tone:
This is a full-time, hybrid role at Southwest Gases, located in Dallas–Fort Worth, Texas. Southwest Gases is a rapidly growing independent industrial gas distributor serving customers throughout Texas. As the first employee to join the core team, this role is crucial for managing day-to-day customer operations and internal logistics. The position offers a unique opportunity to work directly with company ownership and progress into a significant operations leadership role as the company expands.

• Mission: Own the day-to-day activities to ensure smooth operations for customers, vendors, drivers, and internal processes.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Manage customer accounts by setting up new profiles and maintaining accurate information.
• Oversee financial operations including invoicing, processing payments, and managing collections for past-due accounts.
• Coordinate logistics and deliveries by communicating with customers, drivers, and external delivery services.
• Proactively identify and resolve operational issues, track open items, and contribute to process improvements.
• Support customer and prospect inquiries, utilizing AI-assisted tools for research and response preparation.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Professional experience in dynamic environments, with a demonstrated ability to take ownership, solve problems, and communicate effectively.
• Experience: Experience in fast-moving environments such as commercial construction, project coordination, field service operations, logistics, dispatch, or industrial distribution.
