Product Marketing & Sales Intern (Undergraduate) | Deion
The Tone:
This is a contract-based internship at Deion, located in Hybrid, United States. Deion is a done-for-you, anti-AI-slop Canva alternative for YouTube thumbnail design, powered by a proprietary Semantic Design Engine that transforms YouTube video titles into custom thumbnails. This role is crucial for driving product marketing and sales initiatives, directly impacting customer acquisition and engagement for Deion’s innovative solution. You will be instrumental in connecting our advanced design automation with its intended users.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Customer Research: Conduct and document Outcome-Driven Innovation (ODI)-based customer interviews to gather deep user insights.
• Campaign Management: Plan, execute, and quantify the impact of various product marketing campaigns.
• Customer Communication: Initiate and manage communications with customers across diverse market segments.
• Content Creation: Research, write, and edit product copy, microcopy, blogs, newsletters, FAQs, and social media posts.
• Community Building: Drive community building and engagement efforts through online channels.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Undergraduate student with a technical inclination towards product marketing and sales. Must commit to at least 8 hours of synchronous meeting availability between 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM Central Time on weekdays for the next 3 months.
• Experience: Demonstrated experience in a high-impact product marketing or sales role. Direct experience applying Jobs-to-be-Done (JTBD) Theory and Outcome-Driven Innovation (ODI), as defined by Tony Ulwick / Strategyn.
• Skills: Possesses effective modular thinking skills, evidenced by the ability to break down large undertakings into smaller tasks. Exhibits excellent written, visual, and verbal communication skills, emotional intelligence, and coachability. Demonstrates a high level of attention to detail and the ability to see the big picture.
