Manager in Training (MIT) | Belle Tire
The Tone:
This is an in-person, full-time role at Belle Tire, based within a retail store setting with travel to other stores and training centers, and potential relocation for future opportunities. Belle Tire operates over 180 locations with 3,000 dedicated employees, specializing in tires, wheels, and full-service automotive repairs. This role is crucial as it prepares future store leaders by providing hands-on experience in all aspects of retail operations, enabling them to lead teams, drive sales, manage operations, and deliver premium customer service. The program combines training, observation, and direct leadership responsibility to develop the skills needed to successfully manage a store.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Lead & Develop: Learn to lead, coach, and motivate a retail team to achieve business and customer goals, fostering trust and accountability.
• Sales & Service: Learn and execute Belle Tire’s 6-Step Sales Process to drive sales across all products and services while maintaining strong service standards and building customer relationships.
• Operational Oversight: Gain hands-on experience with store operations, including staffing, scheduling, inventory, and workflow management, ensuring compliance and efficient communication between sales and technicians.
• Financial Acumen: Learn the fundamentals of P&L management, analyze financial reports to identify trends, and participate in executing company initiatives to achieve operational goals.
• Program Completion: Successfully complete a structured training program that integrates in-store experience, classroom instruction, and digital learning, demonstrating readiness for promotion within 6–12 months.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Manager: High school diploma or equivalent with leadership experience in a retail or related customer-facing environment.
• Experience: 3–5 years of leadership experience in a retail or related customer-facing environment; desire to advance into a Store Manager role within 6–12 months.
• Skills: Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills; proven ability to learn quickly and adapt in a fast-paced environment; financial acumen and comfort with data-driven decision making; proficiency in Microsoft Office and point-of-sale systems.
• Bonus: Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
