• Team: Leads the Physical Damage adjusting team, managing approximately 6-8 direct reports (management level) and up to 100 indirect reports.
• Mission: Owns the day-to-day activities of an assigned territory/area of responsibility within Physical Damage operations.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Operations Management: Oversee the daily operations of the Physical Damage adjusting team within an assigned territory or area of responsibility.
• Claims & Rental Oversight: Manage claims severity and oversee rental car management processes effectively across the territory.
• Stakeholder Relations: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with all internal and external customers, including GEICO policyholders, claimants, GEICO partners, and body shops.
• Employee Life Cycle Leadership: Provide guidance and counsel on employee performance and support all aspects of the employee life cycle, from recruitment to performance evaluation and termination reviews.
• Strategic Direction: Lead and provide strategic direction to approximately 6-8 direct reports, who are at a management level, and indirectly to up to 100 other team members.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Director-level professional with a Bachelor’s degree in business, Risk Management, Insurance, or a related field.
• Experience: A minimum of 5 years of prior leadership experience.
• Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication, demonstrated ability to lead and provide direction, and strong relationship management capabilities.
• Bonus: I-CAR certification.
