Coordinator – Yard Level I | MacAllister Machinery Co., Inc.
The Tone:
This is a full-time, entry-level role at MacAllister Machinery Co., Inc., located in Indianapolis, IN. MacAllister Machinery is a dealer that sells and services heavy equipment and machinery, supporting various industries. This role is crucial for maintaining the operational readiness of the yard and the equipment, ensuring smooth processing, organization, and basic maintenance of machinery before it’s rented or sold. The Coordinator plays a key part in the efficient flow of equipment and the overall upkeep of the facility.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Process equipment for rental and sales, including detailing, fueling, staging, and minor assembly from check-in to delivery stages.
• Perform basic mechanical tasks such as changing attachments, conducting minor repairs (e.g., batteries, safety parts), and inspecting machines for visual damage or leaks.
• Maintain the organization and cleanliness of the equipment yard and facility, including minor upkeep and trash removal.
• Support logistics by assisting with the loading and unloading of trucks and directing customers and haulers to proper locations.
• Conduct weekly inventory audits of machines and attachments, communicating equipment status and any inoperable units to required departments.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience: Valid driver’s license. Works under immediate supervision, relying on instructions and pre-established guidelines.
• Skills: Good verbal, written, listening, and non-verbal communication skills; strong customer service and organizational skills; ability to safely operate heavy machinery.
• Bonus: Class B CDL
