HOSPITALITY INTERN (SEASONAL) | Belterra Casino Resort

The Tone:
This is a seasonal internship at Belterra Casino Resort, located in Florence, IN. Belterra is part of Boyd Gaming Corporation, a premier casino entertainment company renowned for its success across the United States. What You’ll Actually Do
• Operational Immersion: Gain a comprehensive overview and hands-on experience across all “Out of Bounds” (Golf Operations) and Pool department aspects, encompassing the practicalities of working various designated positions, understanding scheduling setup, and implementing efficient labor utilization strategies.
• F&B Management Exposure: Become deeply familiar with and actively experience the full spectrum of Food & Beverage operations within a high-standard resort property, contributing to daily functions and learning best practices.
• Guest Service Excellence: Learn, internalize, and actively apply the high expectations and standards for guest relations that define service excellence at a premier resort property.
• Strategic Project Contribution: Work on and contribute to specific projects aligned with key business priorities identified by leadership, while also rotating through critical functional areas and roles to gain diverse operational insights.
• Executive Presentation & Reporting: Develop and present a comprehensive final project to the executive team, serving as a capstone demonstration of the knowledge, skills, and abilities acquired and developed throughout the internship program.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Currently enrolled in a college program with a focus on Hospitality or Food & Beverage management.
• Experience: Must be at least 21 years of age and possess a valid Driver’s License.
• Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication; proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; ability to follow verbal and written instructions; knowledge of monetary denominations and cash handling procedures.
• Bonus: Public relations skills are helpful for this role.
