Finance Co-Op | VB Spine

The Tone:
This is a hybrid Finance Co-Op position at VB Spine, located in Leesburg, VA. VB Spine is the largest privately held spine company, dedicated to innovation, surgeon partnerships, and improving patient outcomes in spine care. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience supporting core accounting, reporting, and financial analysis activities. You will contribute to real business deliverables as part of a mission-focused team that supports life-changing spinal procedures.

• Team: Finance / Accounting department, reporting to the Finance team
• Mission: Support core accounting, reporting, and financial analysis activities within a medical device environment.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Reporting: Create and analyze accounting statements and reports to support the preparation of financial statements.
• Close Processes: Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entry preparation.
• Reconciliations: Perform account reconciliations as assigned by the team.
• Data Analysis: Conduct data analysis in Excel, utilizing VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and variance analysis.
• Project Support: Support ad-hoc projects related to process improvements, reporting, documentation, and internal controls.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• Experience: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables, as well as Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
• Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Bonus: Proven leadership potential, business acumen, and an enthusiastic, proactive approach to learning in a fast-paced environment.
