Accounting Specialist | Green Valley Grocery

This role is crucial for ensuring accurate tracking of fuel costs, reconciling key accounts, and maintaining clear financial records, directly impacting the company’s operational efficiency and financial health.

• Mission: Own the accuracy of fuel cost tracking, account reconciliations, and customer invoicing to support Green Valley Grocery’s financial operations.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PDI Enterprise software

What You’ll Actually Do
• Fuel Operations: Accurately review and enter fuel quotes, invoices, and bills of lading into the inventory system.
• Account Reconciliation: Reconcile various accounts, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Inventory, and resolve any discrepancies.
• Customer Billing: Invoice customers and process amounts due and received.
• Invoice Verification: Verify and reconcile invoices, following up to resolve discrepancies and request any missing documents.
• Operational Support: Perform all other job-related duties as assigned to support financial operations.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level position requiring basic accounting knowledge.
• Experience: Six months of accounting experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred, including proficiency with account reconciliations.
• Skills: Highly skilled in Microsoft Excel, strong organizational abilities, attention to detail, and effective written and verbal communication.
• Bonus: An Accounting Degree from an accredited college or university, previous experience with PDI Enterprise software, and knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook are preferred.
