The Tone:
This is a paid, full-time internship at Spencer’s, located in Egg Harbor Township, NJ. Spencer’s and Spirit are leading specialty retailers dedicated to making life fun for their customers, operating with missions like “Life’s a Party. We’re Makin’ It Fun!” and “So Much Fun It’s Scary!”. This role offers a challenging, hands-on experience in a supportive environment, providing meaningful work experience to enhance skills, explore talents, and network with company leaders, ultimately preparing interns for a career post-graduation.

• Mission: Deliver Level 1 technical support for primary incident resolution or escalation within the application support framework.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Deliver: Provide Level 1 technical support for primary incident resolution or escalate issues to appropriate Application Support members.
• Manage: Handle issue intake, investigation, and resolution across multiple applications using excellent communication skills.
• Document: Log 100% of all issues into the ticketing system, including detailed descriptions, troubleshooting performed, and resolution or escalation purpose.
• Categorize: Properly categorize incidents and select the appropriate severity based on their impact and urgency.
• Maintain: Follow existing knowledge articles to ensure accurate troubleshooting, information gathering, and escalation processes, and report when knowledge is outdated or missing.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Must be enrolled in college for the upcoming semester, working towards a degree in Information Systems or Computer Science. Graduate students are also encouraged to apply.
• Experience: Demonstrated ability to work effectively on projects with cross-functional teams, including software developers, infrastructure, and QA teams.
• Skills: Strong ability to multi-task, excellent organizational skills to systematically approach assignments, robust problem-solving skills to translate problems into practical solutions, and a commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
• Bonus: Completion of junior year preferred.
