The Tone:

This Reinsurance Operations Specialist role is crucial for executing Enact’s risk management strategy by managing the operational aspects of reinsurance transactions and ensuring the successful lifecycle management from onboarding through administration and reporting.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Deal Onboarding: Set up new reinsurance deals in the database, capture all required data and approvals, and facilitate comprehensive onboarding by coordinating with internal teams.
• Financial Reporting: Generate and deliver monthly data to accounting for financial close processes, and prepare external reports for reinsurers, brokers, and regulators, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Data Integrity: Support and monitor monthly IT data loads for in-force transactions, provide first-level troubleshooting for data errors, and validate reinsurance premiums, claims, and recoverables.
• Performance Monitoring: Analyze in-force deals to ensure compliance with contractual terms, maintain tracking of reports and payments, and coordinate successful deal terminations.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams (Legal, Risk, Finance, Operations, IT) and external partners (insurance managers, corporate service providers) to manage communications and ensure operational support.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Finance, Risk Management, Data Analytics, or a related field. This is an early career role.
• Experience: 0 to 2 years of relevant work experience, with familiarity in reinsurance concepts, processes, and terminology.
• Skills: Strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analytics tools.
• Bonus: Knowledge of reinsurance treaty structures (e.g., quota share, excess of loss) and prior experience with reinsurance operations software or databases.
