The TL;DR
• Role: Internship
• Type: Full-time
• Location: In-person, Tuscaloosa, AL
• Team: Interns work under the firm’s supervision, collaborating with staff, seniors, managers, and shareholders within either the audit or tax teams.
• Mission: Provide students with a hands-on “real world” accounting experience and in-depth training to learn about the accounting field in a supportive environment.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Perform: Entry-level audit procedures on a variety of engagements.
• Prepare: Tax returns for clients.
• Assist: Firm staff on more challenging engagements in audit or tax.
• Participate: In diverse work opportunities to achieve a well-rounded intern experience.
• Engage: In in-depth training on all of JMF’s proprietary programs and established procedures.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Senior in an undergraduate accounting program or currently pursuing a graduate degree in accounting.
• Experience: Must be eligible to work in the United States and available full-time at least through March 15th.
• Skills: Foundational knowledge of accounting principles applicable to audit and tax procedures, with an ability to learn and utilize firm software.
• Bonus: Prefer a minimum overall GPA of 3.0.
