The Tone:
This is an hourly role at DoorDash, located remotely within the United States. DoorDash Labs is an independent team within DoorDash, dedicated to exploring robotics and automation for long-term last-mile logistics transformation. DoorDash is a technology and logistics company focused on expanding beyond food delivery to encompass a wide range of goods. This role is crucial for managing robots on public roads, providing essential feedback for system improvements, and ensuring smooth daily operations.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Culture: Foster a culture of safety, inclusivity, and open communication within the team.
• Proficiency: Become proficient in the software used for Remote Assistance operations.
• Support: Support robots by using our remote system to efficiently address their needs.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with the team to identify inefficiencies, offering feedback to shift lead(s) to continually improve team efficiency.
• Standards: Aid operators in their daily activities, ensuring adherence to Remote Assistance standards.
The Must-Haves
• Background: 2+ years of experience in autonomous and/or robotics operations.
• Experience: Proficiency in Google Suite applications such as Sheets, Docs, Slides, Forms, and Calendar. Experience using Jira or other issue reporting/ticketing tools to collect feedback, schedule fixes, and track progress.
• Skills: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both in writing and verbally, via platforms like Slack. Self-motivated, quick to learn, and able to perform well under pressure, while maintaining a well-organized and detail-attentive approach. Foster a strong safety culture by ensuring operations are safe and efficient.
