Adventure Readiness Specialist | Rivian

The Tone:
This is a seasonal, full-time role at Rivian, located in New Jersey. Rivian is dedicated to keeping the world adventurous forever by building emissions-free Electric Adventure Vehicles. As an Adventure Readiness Specialist, you are a critical part of the Rivian Service team during peak seasonal periods, ensuring owners can focus on their adventures with their Rivians ready for the journey ahead. This role also serves as an exciting entry point, offering hands-on development experience specifically focused on preparing you for a future as a Service Technician.

• Mission: Supports the Rivian Service team during peak seasons, ensuring vehicles are ready for delivery and service, and owners’ adventures continue uninterrupted.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Vehicle Operations: Receive, inspect, and process incoming vehicle inventory, ensuring their quality and delivery readiness.
• Vehicle Maintenance: Maintain the appearance and functionality of vehicles through washing, detailing, and charging.
• Logistics Management: Manage vehicle logistics, including organizing the lot, shuttling vehicles, and securely handling keys.
• Service Support: Assist technicians with basic vehicle repairs, specifically focusing on Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) tasks and Express Lane work.
• Career Development: Participate in the TRAIL program, receiving mentorship and on-the-job training to advance into a Service Technician role.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
• Experience: Must be at least 21 years old and possess a valid driver’s license with no driving-related suspensions or revocations within a 3-5 year period. Ability to work a flexible 40-hour week, which may include varied shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Skills: Strong desire to learn, high degree of adaptability, a passion for working with your hands, excellent communication, and teamwork skills.
• Bonus: Previous technical experience in automotive repair, mechanical maintenance, or electrical work, or experience in an adjacent technical industry such as aviation, HVAC, or manufacturing, is highly preferred.
