Wonderful Scholar Summer Internship, Accounting | Wonderful Pistachios & Almonds

The Tone:
This is a summer internship at Wonderful Pistachios & Almonds, located onsite in Lost Hills, CA. The company is the world’s largest vertically integrated pistachio and almond processor, providing high-quality, sustainably harvested nuts globally. This role offers hands-on experience within the accounting department, providing support to financial teams and contributing to a key project focused on process improvement. Interns will gain practical skills while helping the company enhance its operational efficiency.

The TL;DR
• Role: Internship
• Type: Temporary, 6-10 week program

• Pay: $19–$20 hourly
• Team: Supports accounting and finance teams
• Mission: Improve efficiency and effectiveness of accounting processes through a designated project.
• Tech Stack: Basic spreadsheets, data collection and analysis tools

What You’ll Actually Do
• Reconciliation: Assist with account reconciliation and basic spreadsheets.
• Support: Support accounting and finance teams with day-to-day tasks.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with team members to validate and refine procedures.
• Project Work: Work on a designated project aimed at improving efficiency and effectiveness.
• Implementation: Collaborate with team members to implement and test process improvements.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Must be a Wonderful Scholar enrolled in the College Success program and at least 18 years of age.
• Experience: Proficiency in data collection and analysis tools. No specific years of prior experience are required beyond program enrollment.
• Skills: Analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to adapt to a manufacturing environment, eagerness to learn and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Bonus: Preferred bilingual in English and Spanish
