What You’ll Actually Do
• Demand Generation: Create demand and identify new opportunities within assigned accounts, territories, and IBM offering portfolios.
• Client Engagement: Engage and qualify prospective clients through various digital selling channels and marketing programs, conducting discovery conversations to understand their business objectives and challenges.
• Pipeline Management: Develop and maintain an active sales pipeline by uncovering expansion opportunities, managing renewals, facilitating upgrades, and identifying modernization needs.
• Value Positioning: Position IBM value propositions as a trusted advisor, aligning brand offerings to customer goals, industry trends, and measurable business outcomes.
• Strategic Collaboration: Collaborate with Technology Sellers, Technical Specialists, Account Executives, and Business Partners to progress opportunities and ensure successful deal execution.

• Background: This is an entry-level role for an actively enrolled undergraduate or graduate university student. Candidates must be seeking a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree to be completed by the start date, in fields such as Business, Communications, Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Mathematics, Engineering, or Business Technology.
• Experience: No prior professional sales experience is required, but a strong interest in technology, business development, consultative selling, and solving client challenges is essential for this internship program.
• Skills: Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills are required, along with analytical thinking, curiosity, adaptability, and a customer-focused mindset. The ability to collaborate across teams and communicate effectively with both business and technical audiences is also crucial.
