Quantitative Data Analytics Summer Analyst Program – 2027 | Bank of America

The Tone:
This is a 10-week full-time internship at Bank of America, located in Atlanta, Charlotte, Chicago, and NYC Metro. • Team: Part of the Quantitative Data Analytics Program, placed within one of five lines of business: Global Risk Management, Chief Financial Officer Group, Enterprise Credit, Consumer & Small Business Banking, or Analytics, Modeling & Insights.
• Mission: Apply quantitative and analytical methods to understand and solve financial and risk management problems, extracting insights to support decision-making across the bank.
• Tech Stack: Python, C++, R, MATLAB, JAVA, Tableau, Hadoop, PowerBI, SQL

What You’ll Actually Do
• Quantitative Analysis: Apply mathematical and statistical models to understand and solve financial and risk management problems.
• Data Insight: Collect, clean, and analyze data to extract insights without necessarily specializing in complex model development.
• Data Processing: Extract, process, and interpret data to support decision-making, including the potential for complex modeling.
• Strategic Research: Conduct research and analysis, assessing internal and public data to provide micro and macro views of risk and financial management.
• Project Application: Apply quantitative and analytical knowledge to specific financial challenges and projects relevant to your business alignment.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s or Bachelor’s direct to Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Math, Statistics, Economics, Data Science, Computer Science, Financial Engineering, or a similar course of study. Graduation dates must be between November 2027 and August 2028.
• Experience: Advanced programming language and analytical tool skills are required. Candidates interested in the Data Analyst profile should possess proficiencies in data visualization tools.
• Skills: Python, SQL, R, C++, MATLAB, Java. For Data Analyst profile: Tableau, Hadoop, PowerBI.
• Bonus: A minimum GPA of 3.5 is preferred.
