The Tone:
This is a ten-week internship at Amazon, located in various fulfillment centers across California. Amazon builds and operates one of the world’s most complex global supply chain networks, connecting people, products, and places at scale. This role places you at the heart of daily operations, where your leadership will directly impact the movement of goods from click to customer doorstep, providing visible and immediate results. You will take ownership early and see the direct results of your decisions reach customers every day.
The TL;DR

• Location: In-person, California (various fulfillment centers)
• Pay: $28.84 hourly
• Team: Learning to lead a team of 50-100 Amazon Associates within an operations building.
• Mission: Learning to manage a team of Amazon associates and developing a summer project to drive continuous improvement in a fulfillment center environment.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Learn Team Leadership: Learn to coach, manage, and develop a team of 50-100 Amazon Associates.
• Drive Improvement: Drive standard work and continuous improvement through an intern project in partnership with site leadership.
• Oversee Operations: Oversee truck deliveries, handle and sort packages using pallet jacks, and operate PIT equipment as applicable.
• Manage Resources: Adjust staffing and resources throughout the day as volume and priorities shift.
• Monitor Performance: Review shift performance data, capture insights, and communicate progress and risks to leadership.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree, with all requirements anticipated to be completed between December 2027 and August 2028.
• Experience: Must have work authorization without employer intervention to be considered.
• Skills: Ability to work independently and operate in an autonomous environment.
• Bonus: Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s program for Supply Chain, Business/Management, Engineering, or another related field; strong verbal and written communication skills; excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
