Summer 2027 Summer Health Plan Data Operations Associate Internship | General Dynamics Information Technology
The Tone:
This is a full-time internship at General Dynamics Information Technology, located remotely in the United States. This role provides hands-on experience with healthcare operations, supporting initiatives that strengthen engagement with Program members, providers, and partners for the World Trade Center (WTC) Health Program. The internship contributes to executing key data directory initiatives and ensuring patient access to care.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Outreach: Assist in supporting outreach, training, and stakeholder engagement strategies for the WTC Health Program through data verification.
• Data Management: Help update and organize provider rosters that directly impact patient access to care.
• Compliance: Collaborate with teams to ensure content is accurate, consistent, and compliant with federal guidelines.
• Feedback Collection: Support the collection and organization of feedback from Provider groups.
• Team Collaboration: Collaborate between Data Integrity, Credentialing, Contracting, and Provider Network Relations teams.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently enrolled in an associate’s, bachelor’s, or master’s degree program in Health Plan Administration or a related field from a United States-based college or university.
• Experience: 0+ years of related experience. Applicants should have a minimum of one semester remaining in their studies after the internship concludes.
• Skills: Excellent written and oral communications, editing, proofreading, accuracy, attention to detail, taking initiative, critical thinking, problem-solving, collaboration, communication, and a basic understanding of Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Excel, Teams).
• Bonus: Previous work experience related to the field of study, experience supporting or developing content for Standard Operations Procedures, and familiarity with Excel.
