Senior Manager, Digital Product Specialist.Digital Banking Products – MBP.Retail Banking Group | Mashreq

This is a full-time role at Mashreq, a company focused on developing commercial digital banking products and services within its Retail Banking Group. This role is crucial for delivering an optimal customer experience by overseeing the entire lifecycle of products, channels, and processes. The specialist will drive the evolution and quality of Mashreq’s digital offerings, ensuring they meet both strategic goals and customer needs.

• Team: Works in a squad within Mashreq’s Digital Studio; can fulfill the role of Proxy Product Owner, collaborating with a Product Owner.
• Mission: Develop, manage, harmonize, and phase out commercial digital products, services, channel formulas, and processes to achieve an optimum customer experience.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Product Lifecycle Management: Lead the end-to-end development, management, harmonization, and phasing out of commercial digital banking products, services, channels, and processes to achieve an optimum customer experience.
• Value Proposition & Delivery: Apply profound product and service knowledge to develop and maintain an attractive and compliant value proposition, ensuring delivery excellence for customers and managing customer sales processes.
• Strategic Development & Implementation: Design and implement comprehensive strategies for products, channels, promotion, pricing, and quality, translating these into practical policies aligned with Mashreq’s brand and customer interests.
• Backlog Management & Prioritization: Act as a Proxy Product Owner, defining and prioritizing the Team Backlog and completing sprint items based on strategy, customer interests, feasibility, planning, budget, and requirements.
• Technical Collaboration & Journey Optimization: Collaborate closely with IT engineers to translate business solutions into working software, leveraging deep knowledge of IT opportunities and underlying application architecture to design, map, and improve customer journey performance.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Senior-level individual with a strong understanding of the banking industry.
• Experience: Minimum of 3-4 years in banking or related project work, coupled with at least 3 years in requirements gathering, data engineering, data science, or software engineering. Demonstrated experience as a Product Manager with software products and in Agile methodologies is required.
• Skills: Strong negotiation and leadership skills, excellent communication and presentation skills with comfort in speaking with senior leaders, and strong analytical and quantitative abilities. Must be a strong collaborator, team player, and individual contributor with the ability to think strategically and tactically.
• Bonus: A background in engineering, technology, or UX is preferred, alongside a high-energy and passionate outlook and a passion for innovation.
