Area General Manager | Integrated Power Services

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Integrated Power Services, overseeing the P&L of coil and motor manufacturing for OEMs at specific IPS site(s). • Mission: Own the profit and loss for coil and motor manufacturing for OEMs, steering the business unit toward safety, operational efficiency, profitability, sales growth, and high customer satisfaction.

What You’ll Actually Do
Lead Business Unit Performance: Drive the business unit to achieve targets in safety, operations, profitability, sales, and customer satisfaction, leveraging the Continuous Improvement Process Solution (CIPS).
Manage Key Value Streams: Oversee and develop three critical value streams: workshop repair, new motor manufacturing, and coil manufacturing, ensuring operational excellence.
Implement Continuous Improvement: Integrate the CIPS program into daily work, empowering employees with data and visual management to decentralize decision-making and eliminate waste.
Cultivate a Strong Culture: Recruit and develop a high-performing organization while fostering a culture aligned with IPS values, including safety, integrity, teamwork, accountability, customer focus, and entrepreneurship.
Ensure Financial and Operational Health: Develop and tactically implement the annual operating plan, proactively monitoring financial, commercial, cost, operational, and customer service trends to make necessary adjustments.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in engineering, supply chain management, operations management, business, or a related technical field.
• Experience: A minimum of seven years combined experience in general or operations management within an industrial services company focusing on rotating equipment, three years in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma problem-solving, and five years managing large-scale projects, accumulating to ten years total in these disciplines.
• Skills: Excellent communication abilities across all stakeholder levels, demonstrated leadership in planning, organizing, resource management, and talent development, and a proven capacity to lead change initiatives and foster process excellence. Technical aptitude in complex asset repair for diverse client segments and multiple product lines is also required.
• Bonus: Prior experience in motor repair and application, an MBA, and Lean certification are advantageous.
