The Tone:
This is an internship at TikTok, with a likely in-person component in Los Angeles, CA. TikTok is a global technology company that operates a leading platform for short-form mobile video, and it is actively expanding its e-commerce capabilities with TikTok Shop. This role is vital for supporting the Global Logistics team, which aims to drive business growth and operational excellence by providing data-driven insights and innovative analytics solutions. The intern will contribute to enhancing efficiency and improving the overall user and seller experience within TikTok’s global e-commerce logistics operations.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Data Operations: Support business communications and monitor weekly/bi-weekly operations by collecting, sorting, and processing daily data with basic statistical analysis.
• Data Products: Improve the data indicator system by participating in designing and processing logistics operation indicators, and assist in building analysis dashboards.
• Special Analysis: Provide references for operation optimization and decision-making by taking part in writing regular and special data analysis reports and conducting in-depth analysis of data changes.
• Temporary Support: Solve sudden business data problems by responding to temporary data needs and providing targeted analysis content.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing an Undergraduate or Master’s degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Operations Research, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience: Proven experience in data analysis, acquired through course projects, research projects, or previous internships.
• Skills: Knowledge of SQL.
• Bonus: Understanding of Python or R; internship or project experience in supply chain, logistics, or consulting industry-related analysis; participation in data analysis-related research projects or competitions with relevant achievements; understanding of e-commerce or online marketplaces; proven communication skills and teamwork spirit to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
