• Mission: Evaluate condominium and cooperative housing projects against complex lending guidelines to determine eligibility and issue approval decisions.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Project Review: Review condominium and cooperative housing projects to determine their eligibility under investor, regulatory, and lending guidelines.
• Documentation Analysis: Conduct detailed reviews of property-related documentation, including homeowner association (HOA) financial statements, board documents, insurance policies, litigation records, property inspection reports, and safety and health information.
• Guideline Evaluation: Evaluate projects against agency, investor, and portfolio guidelines, analyzing supporting documentation, and requesting additional information when needed.
• Decision Making: Issue project approval decisions based on thorough analysis and maintain accurate records within internal systems.
• Stakeholder Communication: Communicate project outcomes and requirements to underwriting teams, sales partners, operations teams, risk partners, and other key stakeholders.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience, with a focus on mortgage, sales, real estate, or banking.
• Experience: Typically one to three years of relevant experience, with demonstrated ability to interpret lending guidelines, conduct regulatory research, review documentation, and apply underwriting or lending requirements.
• Skills: Strong analytical and research skills, attention to detail, ability to interpret complex lending guidelines and regulations, and sound judgment in evaluating project eligibility.
• Bonus: Experience in mortgage lending, underwriting, secondary market guidelines, and agency requirements (Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, VA, portfolio lending programs), along with experience reviewing financial, insurance, legal, and property-related documentation.
