Assistant Athletic Director | American Heritage School
The Tone:
This is a part-time, hourly role, up to 18 hours per week, at American Heritage School. This institution is dedicated to providing a mission-driven, faith-centered private education aligned with the teachings and values of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The school seeks an Assistant Athletic Director who is passionate about both athletics and the holistic development of students, encompassing their physical, spiritual, social, and intellectual growth. This position is explicitly a faith-forming role, requiring the individual to actively support, model, and teach principles consistent with the school’s mission and the values of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Coaching Development: Provide comprehensive training to coaches on school culture, policies, and the integration of faith-based principles, ensuring alignment with AHS’s mission and values.
• Program Logistics & Management: Oversee the operational aspects of athletic programs, which includes the efficient ordering of uniforms and the meticulous scheduling of games and practices.
• Student & Community Engagement: Actively engage with students and parents by addressing questions, managing student discipline, and supervising games on-site to ensure a positive and structured environment.
• Communication & Coordination: Maintain effective communication channels with athletic leagues and within the school community, ensuring all stakeholders are informed and coordinated.
• Spiritual & Character Formation: Integrate faith-based principles and moral reasoning into daily athletics administration, serving as a consistent example of Christian character and discipleship, and responding to student inquiries on faith and values.

• Background: Requires a foundation in athletics, combined with a profound love for youth and a dedication to teaching and learning within a faith-centered environment.
• Experience: Demonstrable ability to leverage sports as a purposeful tool for fostering discipleship and developing Christian character in students.
• Skills: Proven strong communication and management abilities essential for leading and coordinating athletic programs.
• Bonus: Preferred experience in athletics administration.
