• Mission: Owns the planning, scheduling, and implementation of activities to enhance the lives of senior residents and integrate them with the community.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Planning: Plans, schedules, and implements activities for a seven-day week calendar, considering resident preferences.
• Personalization: Identifies the special needs of each resident and creates a plan to accommodate those needs.
• Engagement: Involves residents in planning their recreation objectives and goals.
• Community Integration: Integrates residents with the broader community through facility activities and outings.
• Public Relations: Creates a strong positive image and establishes good relationships within the community, including press relations, promotional activities, scrapbooks, and facility displays.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor of Science Degree in Therapeutic Recreation or a related field.
• Experience: None explicitly stated as required for minimum years of experience.
• Skills: Activity Planning and Implementation, Resident Needs Assessment, Recreational Program Development, Community Engagement, Public Relations Management.
