What You’ll Actually Do
• Office Support: Provide direct secretarial and clerical assistance to facilitate daily school operations and uphold district goals.
• Communication Management: Answer, screen, and direct telephone calls, take messages, direct visitors, and schedule appointments.
• Document & Information Management: Perform various clerical duties, including filing, sorting mail, preparing copies, distributing documents, and maintaining various records.
• Data Entry & Generation: Enter and maintain computer records, generate various records and forms, and prepare letters as assigned.
• Operational Assistance: Assist with attendance records if assigned, provide backup to other office staff, and manage materials needed for daily responsibilities.

The Must-Haves
• Background: High school graduate; knowledge of Lexington County School District One Board policies and district requirements.
• Experience: Minimum of two years of secretarial experience preferred; or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
• Skills: Personal computer experience with strong knowledge of word processing, e-mail, spreadsheets, electronic file management, internet, and reporting/presentation software; ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in written communication; ability to maintain confidentiality of employee and student information.
• Bonus: Ability to access reliable transportation.
