• Mission: This person owns the oversight of daily dental office operations to ensure efficient workflows and excellent patient care.
• Tech Stack: Practice management or electronic health record (EHR) systems, standard office software (email, spreadsheets, word processing)
What You’ll Actually Do
• Operations Oversight: Oversee all daily operations of the dental office, ensuring efficient workflows and procedures.
• Team Supervision: Supervise administrative team members, delegating tasks and supporting their professional development.
• Patient Experience Coordination: Coordinate patient scheduling, check-in, and check-out processes to maintain a welcoming and efficient patient experience.
• Financial Management: Ensure accurate billing procedures, insurance verification, and documentation.
• Performance & Compliance: Monitor office performance metrics and support compliance with practice policies and regulatory requirements while collaborating with clinical leadership to align operations with practice goals.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Manager. High school diploma or equivalent is required. Core domain knowledge in office administration within a healthcare or dental setting.
• Experience: Demonstrated experience in office administration, including scheduling, patient flow coordination, and records management. Experience with billing procedures, insurance verification, and basic financial tracking.
• Skills: Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills to foster positive interactions. Leadership abilities in supervising staff and supporting performance. Proficiency with practice management or EHR systems and standard office software. High attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills for managing multiple priorities.
• Bonus: Knowledge of dental terminology and workflows. Prior experience in a dental or medical office. Additional education or certification in office management, healthcare administration, or related fields.
