Custody Operations Specialist | U.S. Bank

What You’ll Actually Do:
• Provide operational support: Deliver essential operational support and processing for various types and sizes of Wealth Management & Investment Services (WMIS) client accounts and products, established by clients for diverse purposes.
• Manage securities and maintenance: Take accountability for setting up securities, and performing general account and asset level maintenance, operating with some level of supervision.
• Coordinate multiple assignments: Effectively and accurately coordinate, manage, and complete multiple duties and assignments concurrently, ensuring all tasks are handled efficiently.
• Meet performance standards: Understand and achieve established Service Level Agreements (SLAs), consistently meeting required performance metrics and timelines.
• Ensure compliance: Maintain accountability for strict compliance with established department policies and procedures, recognizing the varying levels of risk correlating to the type and size of account or product.
The Must-Haves:
• Background: Possess an Associate’s degree, or demonstrate equivalent work experience in a relevant field. Alternatively, a high school diploma or equivalent combined with two or more years of relevant professional experience is required.
• Experience: A minimum of two or more years of relevant professional experience is necessary, with candidates being hired at a level aligning with their specific experience.
• Skills: Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and strong organizational skills; effective customer relations, interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills; proficient computer navigation skills using a variety of software packages, including Microsoft Office applications.
• Bonus: A basic understanding of regulatory and accounting principles directly affecting Wealth Management & Investment Services business lines and clients; the ability to quickly learn custody operational functions, systems, procedures, and various products and/or services for assigned areas; and the capacity to multitask and meet established deadlines in a dynamic work environment.
