Director, Reporting & Analytics – Medical Cost Grouper/Actuary | Molina Healthcare

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Molina Healthcare, located remotely. Molina Healthcare focuses on collecting, validating, analyzing, and organizing data to create meaningful reports for internal decision-making and for external use by provider networks and other end users. This Director position is a key leadership role, central to advising senior management and other departments on reporting and analytics strategies. The work directly supports critical business initiatives and ensures the delivery of accurate, timely, and strategic insights.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Strategic Insights & Partnership: Work with senior executives, Vice Presidents, and AVPs across the enterprise to determine critical reporting and analysis needs, advising on strategies that support various business initiatives and inform management decision-making.
• Reporting Lifecycle Leadership: Set the comprehensive direction for all aspects of reporting, including design, nomenclature, approach, requirements gathering, end-user communications protocols, release schedules, and the change management process.
• Team Management & Development: Lead and manage functional departments, providing mentorship, coaching, and guidance on financial reporting and analytical best practices, ensuring alignment with operating plans, budgets, and regulatory requirements.
• Quality Assurance & Risk Management: Establish and direct robust reporting quality assurance processes to minimize end-user error identification and set up processes for proactively reporting score risk areas in a timely and concise manner, holding ultimate responsibility for report quality.
• Performance & Expertise: Implement strategies to meet service level benchmarks for report turnaround, demonstrate best practices, foster collaboration on projects, and function as a subject matter expert capable of teaching financial and technical information.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in IT or Analytics, or equivalent experience in a related field. This role demands leadership in reporting and analytics within the healthcare sector.
• Experience: A minimum of 3 years in management, combined with at least 3 years in reporting and analytics, and a minimum of 1 year of experience in the Health Care Industry.
• Skills: Expertise in data collection, validation, and analysis; proficiency in report design, development, testing, and deployment; strong capabilities in establishing and managing reporting quality assurance processes; demonstrated financial and technical subject matter expertise; and effective implementation of change management protocols for reporting.
• Bonus: A clinical degree, an advanced IT degree, or an advanced degree in public health or healthcare administration is preferred.
