The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Hertford Rehabilitation And Healthcare Center, located in Hertford, NC. Hertford Rehabilitation And Healthcare Center is a Long Term Care facility that provides quality care to its residents. The Director of Admissions is crucial for managing the entire admission process, developing key referral sources, and ensuring potential residents are appropriate for the facility, directly contributing to improving residents’ lives and maintaining facility occupancy.

The TL;DR
• Role: Full Time
• Location: In-person, Hertford, NC

• Mission: Own the end-to-end resident admission process and cultivate strong referral partnerships within the medical community to ensure appropriate facility placement and sustained occupancy.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Manage Admissions Operations: Coordinate facility tours with prospective residents, families, and referrers, either personally or with appropriate interdisciplinary team members. Assist residents and family members with completing the admission process by assuring all admission paperwork is completed and necessary financial and medical records are obtained. Review medical, financial, and other records with appropriate department heads of potential residents to ensure they are suitable for the facility.
• Cultivate Referral Relationships: Develop and maintain professional relationships with the surrounding medical community to ensure steady referral sources for the facility. Coordinate and participate in presentations about the facility to healthcare professionals and other potential referral sources to strengthen the referral base.
• Drive Marketing Strategy: Assist with the development and implementation of both long-range and short-term marketing plans designed to promote the facility and attract new residents.
• Facilitate Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work with the interdisciplinary team to ensure consistent and effective admissions, discharges, and resident room transfers. Provide daily census reports to the interdisciplinary team to aid operational planning and communication.
• Ensure Resident Experience: Meet with residents and family members on the day of admission to answer any questions and ensure a smooth admission process. Ensure appropriate preparation of rooms prior to the arrival of new residents, maintaining the comfort, privacy, and dignity of residents throughout their stay.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Director level. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, demonstrating foundational knowledge.
• Experience: One year of experience in a marketing role within a healthcare setting or similar relevant experience.
