The Tone:
This is a hybrid position with work hours ranging from 25-40 hours per week, located in Alden, MI, supporting the accounting operations for Paradise Properties USA & My Torch Lake, a family of companies. While primarily based in Alden, the role offers the opportunity for partial remote work after initial training. The Controller/Bookkeeper will be crucial in managing day-to-day financial activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance across all financial operations for these businesses.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Manage: Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Process: Handle payroll operations and conduct bank reconciliations.
• Prepare: Produce accurate financial reports and maintain the general ledger.
• Utilize: Operate proficiently within QuickBooks Online for all accounting tasks.
• Generate: Create owner statements, manage invoicing, and balance escrow accounts.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Experience as a Controller/Bookkeeper or similar role; strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
• Experience: Proficiency in QuickBooks Online.
• Skills: Highly organized; exceptional attention to detail.
