What You’ll Actually Do
• Trailer Cleaning: Efficiently clean, dry, and deodorize various tank trailers using high-pressure steam, water, chemicals, and detergents to prepare them for their next cargo and ensure product integrity.
• Waste Management & Compliance: Perform wash water segregation duties and manage chemical usage and waste responsibly, strictly complying with company safety, environmental, and operational procedures to maintain a safe and compliant working environment.
• Operational Tasks: Operate and close valves on tank trailers, and skillfully couple tanks by driving tractors as part of the washing and preparation process.
• Material Handling: Physically lift, pull, push, and carry hoses and other equipment necessary for the thorough cleaning and maintenance of tank trailers.
• Documentation & Preparation: Conduct precise measurements and accurately complete all required paperwork, ensuring trailers are fully prepared and documented for upcoming deliveries.
The Must-Haves
• Background: This is an entry-level position suitable for individuals who possess a high school diploma or equivalent, demonstrating a foundational commitment to professional responsibility.
• Experience: Candidates must demonstrate the physical capability to clear and safely enter confined spaces, alongside the ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs and occasionally lift over 50 lbs, which are essential for handling equipment and accessing trailers.
• Skills: Core skills include adherence to established safety and environmental protocols, effective management of cleaning chemicals, basic operational aptitude for valves and tractors, and the ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and carrying.
