What You’ll Actually Do
• Packaging and Labeling: Properly package, label, and tag warehouse inventory for accurate identification and storage.
• Daily Operations Log: Complete and log daily activities including receiving, shipping, stocking, tooling, auditing, and issuing all materials and completing special assignments.
• Inventory Management: Conduct cycle-counts of inventory and manage the daily log to ensure accuracy and minimize discrepancies.
• Material Handling: Load and unload goods and supplies, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage and maintain quality.
• Quality Control: Maintain warehouse quality by keeping track of all damaged inventory and reporting it in a timely manner.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. High School diploma or GED equivalency. Entry-level knowledge of operating warehouse machinery and equipment.
• Experience: Minimum two (2) years’ experience in a warehouse environment. Basic understanding of operating systems (SAP, Spectrum). Intermediate skill level using Windows, Word, Excel and Outlook. Must meet Company minimum driving standards.
• Skills: Ability to properly package, label, and tag inventory; conduct cycle-counts; load and unload goods; use power tools; maintain physical agility for warehouse inventory tasks; and potentially operate forklifts and company vehicles.
• Bonus: Familiarity with cycle-counting, order picking, shipping, receiving, and operating a forklift. Knowledge of 5S organization and Lean principles.
