The TL;DR

• Location: In-person, Windsor, CT
• Pay: $90000–$100000 yearly
• Mission: Maintain cost accuracy, ensure inventory integrity, and provide insightful financial analysis to improve manufacturing performance.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Cost Management: Maintain and analyze standard costs for manufactured products.
• Inventory Operations: Perform inventory costing, reconciliations, and manufacturing accounting activities, including supporting cycle counts and annual physical inventories.
• Performance Analysis: Analyze production, labor, and inventory variances while providing actionable recommendations to improve performance.
• Financial Reporting & Planning: Assist with month-end close, journal entries, account reconciliations, and support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives.
• Operational Partnership: Partner with operations to improve financial reporting and overall manufacturing performance.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with a foundational understanding of manufacturing accounting principles.
• Experience: 2+ years of manufacturing accounting, cost accounting, or inventory accounting experience is preferred; strong Staff Accountants looking to transition into manufacturing accounting are also encouraged to apply.
• Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to communicate effectively across finance and operations teams.
• Bonus: Advanced Excel skills and experience working with ERP systems.
