Staff Accountant | Leviat in North America

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Leviat, located in North America, supporting multiple manufacturing facilities across the United States. Leviat is a global leader in insulating, lifting, anchoring, and connecting technology for the construction industry, crafting engineered products and innovative solutions for projects ranging from single-family homes to professional sports arenas. This role is crucial for ensuring the accurate day-to-day accounting activities and financial integrity of multiple manufacturing sites, supporting the broader finance team and contributing to continuous improvement by seeking actionable opportunities.

• Mission: To support day-to-day accounting activities, ensure financial accuracy, and maintain SOX compliance for multiple manufacturing facilities within North America.
• Tech Stack: Advanced MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), Dynamics 365 ERP (a plus)

What You’ll Actually Do
• Account Reconciliations: Manage the comprehensive account reconciliation process for multiple accounts, including banks, disbursements, and payroll, ensuring precision and compliance.
• General Ledger Management: Reconcile general ledger accounts with various registers and sub-ledgers, ensuring timely clearing of all reconciling items to maintain financial integrity.
• Financial Closing & Analysis: Actively participate in month-end, quarterly, and annual financial closing cycles, including the preparation and analysis of journal entries.
• Compliance and Audits: Collect and manage documentation to adhere strictly to SOX control compliance, and assist with both external and internal control audits.
• Operational Support: Oversee the travel & expense system to support users and ensure policy compliance, while also supporting cost control initiatives to improve efficiency and profitability and assisting in special projects as needed.

The Must-Haves
• Background: A Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a finance-related field, coupled with a solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Experience: At least 3 years of experience in a similar Financial or Accounting role, specifically within the manufacturing industry with demonstrated cost accounting experience.
• Skills: Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word), excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities, and a strong attention to detail to produce high-quality financial products and meet deadlines. This role also requires a demonstrated awareness of all elements of a division’s financial statements and the ability to learn multiple processes quickly to aid in backup support.
• Bonus: Experience with Dynamics 365 ERP is considered a plus.
